Terms of Service

The terms that govern your access to and use of Acretix.

Draft v0 — last updated June 2026 — pending counsel review

Placeholder pending legal review. This document is a structural draft. The final wording is being prepared by counsel and will replace this text.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (the 'Terms') govern your access to and use of Acretix (the 'Service'). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. The Service

Acretix is a tool for drafting, signing, and operating outcome-based contracts. It helps you assemble documents, route them for signature, and track measurement and settlement.

3. Not legal advice

Acretix is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Documents produced by the Service — including AI-assisted clause drafts — are starting points, not legal advice, and have not been reviewed by an attorney on your behalf.

You are responsible for having qualified counsel review any contract before you sign it or rely on it. Your use of a generated document is at your own risk.

4. Your account

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful, infringing, or abusive purpose, and not to attempt to disrupt the Service or gain unauthorized access to it or to other users' data.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the contracts, data, and files you put into the Service. You grant Acretix the limited license needed to host and operate the Service on your behalf.

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of, and your right to use, the content you provide.

7. Signatures and counterparties

When a contract is ready to sign, it is routed through a third-party e-signature provider. A contract becomes binding between the parties according to its own terms — Acretix is a tool used by the parties and is not itself a party to your contracts.

8. Fees

Placeholder — pricing terms will be provided by counsel. During early access the Service may be offered at no charge; any future fees will be disclosed before they apply.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Placeholder — the Service is provided 'as is' without warranties, and liability is limited to the extent permitted by law. Final wording to be provided by counsel.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or to comply with law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date; continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
